To ensure security this service is only open to registered members.
How to use Rideshare on the Internet
If you are offering a lift:

Log in with your user name and password at Hour Car Members.

Select the Rideshare button.

Fill out the form stating when you are offering the lift, which other places you are passing through on the way, which gender of passenger you would prefer and whether you would object to a smoke. (Note that Hour Car vehicles are all non-smoking.)

If someone's plans coincide with yours you will get an email from Hour Car with their details.

It is up to you to establish how costs will be shared.
If you are looking for a lift:

Log in with your user name and password at Hour Car Members.

Select the Rideshare button.

Fill in the form for when you need the lift. The more alternatives you can offer for dates and times the more likely you are to find a match.

You can state a preference for the gender of the driver of the car you want to travel with.

You will be informed by email if there is a match.
How to use Rideshare by phone
You must be a Member of either the Hour Car Car Club or the Hour Car Rideshare scheme to use this service.
Simply phone the Hour Car contact line on 01422 847971 during Hour Car office hours and answer the questions you are asked. This will take a few minutes, as the Hour Car operative will need to fill out the details online. You will be phoned back if there is a match. |
